NEC, Birmingham, UK. H17-510. 9th – 13th April 2018

We are proud to be attending MACH 2018 from April 9 – 13 at the NEC in Birmingham. Come and visit us on stand H17-510 to see our latest EDM / HSM and Controls in action!

Technology on display:

OPS-Ingersoll  V5 HSM

The smallest, Eagle V5 High speed milling centre of a gantry construction and fully sealed work area making the milling of hardened steel and Graphite on the same machine a versatile real allrounder for lights out manufacturing. Fitted with HSK E40 spindle offering 42000 rpm and backed with the Heidenhain TNC640.

NEW  for 2018 is the 4th  / 5th  100 rpm torque axis  ( -120/+60°) with various chucking combination, offers a 200kg (250kg) and 400mm diameter work piece loading suitable for hardened steel parts and smaller inserts and electrodes, which can be covered with a 3 axis work bed in minutes to offer a table loading of 500kg.

OPS-Ingersoll Gantry 500 EDM

The gantry design from OPS-Ingersoll differs from the standard C frame construction, meaning that the distance of the ram in relation to the machine shoes remains constant, no matter the machines position. The Eagle power tech generator supported by a 1.4G ram acceleration returns not only impressive machining speeds, but electrode wear properties leading to a serious reduction in the number of electrode required not only from a EDM perspective but further increasing workflow through the company due to less milling and setting times required.  The four-sided rise and fall tank arrives compete with dielectric not only removing the fill time normally associated with spark erosion.

All OPS- Ingersoll Machines can be automated from the Left or right side and linked machines feeding from one MultiChange Robot System are not uncommon regardless of if they are EDM or HSM.

Mitsubishi MV1200s wire erosion with Dcube (New) control

The MITSUBISHI MV1200s is the entry to the largest worldwide supplier of EDM systems with over 65,000 EDM units already supplied.  The S line holds everything that is standard for a wide range of applications. With an impressive footprint to stroke ratio. The Linear motor tubular drive with 12-year positional warranty and impressive auto threading in the slot, backed up with Mitsubishis digital AE generator with impressive running cost savings makes the entry level a thing of the past.

New for 2018 is the Dcube control.  This 19” full touch screen control not only offers great ease of operation but records all the operation running costs including power consumption to give the real economics.

Mitsubishi MV2400R connect (new) wire erosion with ITS RSD42 combination 6th axis.

The 2400R is the next step up in both size and technology equipment. The 7-axis control is standard on all MITSUBISHI EDM machines and the 6th or 7th axis can be fitted at anytime future proofing any investment.

New for 2018 The connection package is equipped for online full workshop efficiency analysis.

Mitsubishi’s Core hold function tack welds the waste material up to 50mm high, removing the need for time consuming de-tagging, ideal for punch and die industries for one.

MV series machine features:- Dry threading / slot threading , linear motor tubular drive, 7 axis control, solid cast construction, reduced power and wire consumption, effective cutting of traditionally difficult applications, wire chopper and  vertical sliding door  as standard.
